David Silver Spares is a leading supplier of spare parts for more than 1,000 Honda motorcycle models, ranging from classic machines of the 1960s through to models from 2005. With one of the most comprehensive inventories in Europe, the business needed an ecommerce website capable of handling a large and complex product catalogue, different customer types and international orders.
In 2024, e2 media rebuilt the David Silver Spares UK website, creating a flexible ecommerce platform designed around the way the business operates. Advanced search functionality allows customers to find the right parts by part number, make, model and specific part combinations, helping them navigate an extensive catalogue of Honda motorcycle parts.
The website also accommodates different trade accounts and user types, alongside used motorcycles for sale. A streamlined Content Management System gives the David Silver Spares team control over website content and imagery, while stock and availability feeds help manage the extensive product catalogue behind the scenes.
David Silver Spares previously operated a separate website for its US dollar market alongside the UK website. In 2026, e2 media further developed the existing platform to bring both ecommerce operations together, allowing UK and US customers to purchase through a single website.
We implemented a new UK/US toggle, with product pricing and tax calculations dynamically adjusted according to the customer’s selected region. US purchases are handled through a separate payment provider, with additional backend development by e2 enabling US orders to be processed and managed through the existing system.
The development reduces the cost and complexity of maintaining two separate sites while building on the investment made in the original website. It’s also a good example of how the ecommerce platforms we develop at e2 can continue to grow and adapt alongside our clients’ businesses - adding new functionality and supporting new markets without starting again.
